hi, am having problems with a cup soda machine. this has a water bath with a ice bank the ice bank is normal but the water inside the carbnator is frezeeing the water in the water bath has a lot of syurop in it from a pump leak could this be causing the problem the comp is not stuck on this is controled by the ice control and a triac? thanks ken

You do realize that it's really difficult to make any sense out of posts that have little or no punctuation, don't you? ;)

Anyway.........the syrup in the ice bath will lower the freeze point of the bath enough to freeze the carbonated water.

Fix the syrup leak, change the bath water and all should be back to normal......unless of course it's something else altogether. ;)

hi, sorry about pun. not very good at this. about how much would this lower the freeze point, this is puzzling? thanks ken

The sugar in solution lowers the freezing point of the sugar/water solution below 32 Deg F. The more sugar there is, the lower the freezing point. You'd have to call Sodadude or Len to get the straight poop on that. They're Coke guys......they know about Brix numbers and stuff.

hi, icemeister! found leaking pump and rsplaced. cleaned out waterbath and frezzing problem is corected. thanks for advice.
