What happens when someone loses the little orifice out of a distributor nozzle??What is the necessity of it, and where in the world do you find another one?

If I had but one phonecall, I woud call Sporlan.
Or you could call a coil manufacturer.
There is an orofice for each gas, for each such distributor.
Not all distributors have an orofice. Not all coils have a distributor.
Each one is specific.
Some coils will come with an envelope containing several orofices with a number on each. Then a sheet of paper telling which is for what gas.
If the coil is made for a distributor and the distributor is made to work with an orofice .... then you best be including that orofice installed in that distributor.
Go visit Sporlan's site and learn about them.

They are needed for even distribution of the refrigerant to the coil and are a must have for proper operation, not that it will not work it will just not work to capacity using excessive energy and lower capacity.

If you have a Sporlan distributor, there's a good chance if you call our tech support, they'll find you a replacement and drop in the mail... :)
