Good morning. I have a fireproof vault that's about 190 square feet with an 8 to 9 foot ceiling. How can I provide air conditioning (no heat) to this room with an independent unit/system set outside of this room and still maintain a fire rating?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Fire dampers in the duct at wall and cieling penetrations.

A ductless split system could also be a very viable solution for minimum penetrations.

They probably will not allow any electrical system in vault.

depending on the fire rating you may have to put donuts to squsih the armaflex in case of a fire. Sounds funny but I have seen this requested by building officials.

Yes, but also put high quality duct dampers outside the room with Belimo actuators (spring return) on supply and return with auxillary swithes for fire panel interlocks to kill the unit in alarm conditions.
