View Full Version : liquid heat exchanger?

anybody knows the name of the liquid heat exchanger?, that I found on a freezer cond.unit(7.5 hp),hot gas def.Is that something still in use?I also heard that there is a suction line solenoid valve,didn`t have chance to inspect piping to figure it out..

From what you describe it sounds like a Kramer Thermobank to me. They're still around and in use although I'm not sure if the New Kramer Co is still making them.

They still make the Thermobank System:

The suction solenoid valve you mentioned closes during defrost to divert the suction flow to the re-evap coil in the thermobank.
