(2) 150,000 output 51 year old beasts that I'm hoping we can get our hands on and make a work of art.

Original furnaces have 240,000 BTU's of output. Heat loss came out to 109,000 BTU's. A little bit of a difference huh?

Proposed him a 4 ton HP w/ 115,000 BTU 95% gas furnace. I can only imagine the gas bills that the previous owner had in this home...UGH!!!!

Check out the old water filter system :).

I did something similar at a Park City, Utah ski resort. Lots of room to make it look sweet.

We can't have flexible gas piping within 3 inches of metal around here. Funny to see it strapped to the R/A drop

Why is that? Need to strap them some where some times.

If the gas service was hit by lightning, it could travel through the pipe and arc to the metal, burning a hole in the flex pipe in the process.

Another good reason to hard pipe gas lines.

In cincinnati we had a commercial building catch fire during a thunderstorm. Lightning traveled down the flex till it got close enough to jump, which happened to be through a turn in the flex. Made a nice firey hole.

Since then, it's local code that all track pipe has to be grounded. I forget where/how often, all I remember is that it has to be done.

Could you imagine a flame thrower like that!

I'll have to check our code here and see what it is since my system was put in 5 years ago.

3,700 sq. ft w/ lots of old single pane metal windows, and I mean A LOT!!!

Calculations were performed meticulously with HVAC-Calc :)
