Strange Waterfurnace problem

We have a Premier Waterfurnace installed in new const. in 1997. It worked fine until about 5 years ago when it blew a capacitor. Capacitor replaced and now it blows every year like clockwork, almost to the day. This year it was about a week early but always around the end of May. This usually comes after a couple weeks of not running the heat pump at all and then having to start it up because we usually get a cool spell around that time. I'm really getting tired of this yearly ritual it's also getting rather expensive. Any thoughts?
