Here's one of the Pre-Vac units I installed. I borrowed the plans for the stand from another building in town it's square stock mig welded with a removable cover on the front to hide all the wires.

I installed what I thought was a Pre-Vac about 15 years ago. It required removing all the insulation from the unishell, brushing off all the rust and then gluing a heating grid to the shell and then reinsulating. Is this what you have installed here mattm? Also what are the two canisters at the oil cooler end? It is nice to see a DK kept so nice and clean, obviously a lot of painting has been done on this unit. Nice job

The Pre-Vac you see here is simply a small electric boiler in the 2nd picture it's the small silver piece of equipment in the lower left and it circulates and heats the water through the chilled water barrell as need to keep the machine at zero. It's also very nice to have in place to pressurize the chiller for leak checking.
I bet that sucked having to do all that work putting that heat blanket on. And on the paint scheme it was like pulling teeth to get mangement and chief engineer to let me paint the condensor piping light blue instead of the same old green.
