Hey
I have a couple of 15 year old YT's that suck a bit of air in the winter and I need to put a portable purge on to get them going. Run great all summer. Ihave replaced the shaft seal did not get the bellow style york gave me the six spring deal. Do you guys have the same issue. Have leak checked unit on place the leak detecor went off in shaft seal area.

scrap the oil purge and install a Redi Purge...............Nice to be able to purge without running.
and install redi-packs to keep the machines at zero

How long do they stay down during the winter? Obviously you know the seal is pressure lubricated, so if it stays shut down for any length of time and the seal dries out, yeah, it'll get some air in it. Some take weeks, some take months. Put a repeat-cycle timer on the oil pump to turn it on for 5 or 10 minutes 3-5 times per week. Problem solved. Unless you have other leaks........

They are off for about 7 months during the winter.
