Hi everyone.

Last week I posted a thread about tuning hvac control loops. I found lots of websites that offers software for tuning loops. I was wondering if some of you have ever used a tuning software? Does it worth the money? Does it really helps or it's more a waste of time?

Thanks for the answer

I just bought the one from PIDtuning dot net last week. I like how he explains everything - plain english for simple guys like me. His methods seem good. I mean't to use it on Friday, but process was starting and stopping to much due to varied customer demand to really use it. I was able to use the knowledge I gained from it to stabilize the process better until we can. For the couple hundred I invested I feel its worthwhile just for the better under standing it gave me. His method does require a datalogger though which he doesn't explain before you buy. But thats a good investment anyway.
