Got a call today on a Mr Slim (damn!) To make it worse, the condenser is in a chain link protective cage covered with spider webs I got to partially disassemble before not getting any error code on the cond.'s board, and running out of time for the day. I was told the stat had a P9 or "maybe a P8" message on it when the other tech first saw it. Does anyone know what those codes mean? And I can't find manuals on their site for the units. Does anyone know a link to those service manuals? The indoor unit will run in fan for about 10 minutes, no action from the condenser at all. I didn't get to dig too deep today, gonna go back tomorrow, but does this situation sound like anything to anyone? :anyone:
You can go to there web site and look in there library section

yeah, I will double check those #s, but I'm pretty sure about 'em. They were a bit old, those units.....the PCH 36BK was the indoor, ceiling mounted......the difference was the BK vs. EK and GK available on the site, and "E"s and "B"s can look an awful lot alike, so I think I will print out the "EK" manual.....

well the model #s turn out right, but I printed out the manual for a "PCH36EK" and that info did the trick - it was in P8 alarm, turned out to be a broken thermistor wire, got lucky on this one! :D

thanks! Me too, those ductless splits can be a real pain especially if you have no literature, but it always feels good to fix one since they can be so frustrating to mess with.

Try chasing a City Limit with all those evaps. 1 leak and the whole system is good for the garbage.
