I have a YCAL with 2 fans and 3 scrolls per circuit. This unit has the low ambient fan reversing option with discharge transducers. Circuit 2 is running fine. Circuit 1 brings on the first fan but I never get my signal from the board to pull in fan 2. My outdoor temp was 77 and my discharge transducer is reading gauge verified pressure. The fan control option is set for od temp and discharge pressure both which were well over 65 and 230. I cut fan 1 off and let the pressure build to 300 and still no signal to pull in. Anyone have any ideas before I shoot the board down? Thanks for any help or confirmations. Oh yeah--a MP/HPCO alarm occurred bringing this to light.

I would set the fan control only to pressure! By pressing the OPER DATA key you can see the number of fan stages switched on in the system (software output). With two fans and low ambient option the total number of stages is 3 per system. The software outputs should correspond with the energized condenser fan contactors.

You could turn off the rocker switch and then hit program ++--that will allow you to turn on all condenser fans 1 at a time to see if they fire , it could be the that the micro has malfunctioned and there is a new microboard kit that replaces the existing piece of junk. JMHO

be sure to check the flash card, in the new kit, for data before you go to the job
