I live in South Florida, Ft Lauderdale area. When I go on vacation, iset the AC thermostat to 85 and the dehumidifier to 50%. Is this the correct procedure, or should I go lower with either of the settings?
Thank you,

There really is no correct setting when you are gone. As a matter of fact, there is no correct setting while you are home either. Set it for personal comfort while you're home, and set it for max savings while you are away. 85 degrees doesn't sound too bad. In your area, I would certainly leave the dehumidifier set where you have it, due to the high humidity.
