civil duty pay?

I am curious about if your company pays you for jury duty. Seems some do and some dont. Be intresting to know what the majority is. I am on my third day of jury duty and it is killing my vacation time.

Just got new contract in mail to vote on - $75.00/day it says

We get paid 8 hours per day for serving jury duty. Did 4 days last year.

Last place would pay us in full for 5 days. Had another place that would not pay us at all. I use to get a letter on company stationary stating that and claim financial hardship since my wife stayed home with the kids and I was excused from serving.

Companies that pay, have the right to deduct from your pay what your earned on Jury Duty once complete..............I think! I am pretty sure about that! :LOL:

In NY the State won’t pay the $35 a day if your employer pays.

Hard to be a good citizen on $35 a day
