Anyone know how to customize the log on Page of an NAE or SCT? When logging into NAE it opens a page that shows Johnson Controls. That is the page I want to customize. Same thing in SCT.

Nobody has done this? I am working at a oil refinery and they have an ADX server at a remote location. When you log in it does not have typical Johnson Logon page. Somebody changed it to say the oil company name. Can you log into an NAE35 or 45 Windows CE OS directly? Or a 55 XP OS directly? If so hows this done?

I have done this thru the FTP function, just copy the file in question to your computer and replace it on the nae. it has been a while but one thing to be aware of it SEEMS the file size matters some times, if it is to big or to small the nae will hang at login or boot up dont remember it maye be a check sum routine not sure....
also modifing these files is not....umm legal in JCI eyes.

I did a little reading and found after version 1.1.3 the files cannot be changed. The java jar files are signed so they cannot be modified.

Look in the history of your browser PC and find a link that says something like "adx1/metasys/ui/webstart dot aspx" Yours may be different but will end in the webstart asp. Copy that link to any HTML editor and create your own login page. Save the page to the inetpub\wwroot folder of the C drive. Warning: Do not change the default webpage settings in IIS!!! This will hose your server! You will then need to use the URL such as servername/pagename, where server would normally be ADS1 or ADX1, and pagename = whatever you named the HTML page you created and stored in the wwroot folder. You can use MS Word if you just need a basic page.

Nae's can be logged into directly, type the NAE name or IP followed by /metasys. However, You will need the main admin password, as passwords for users are stored on the ADX/ADS typically.
