I am going to connect a voltage monitoring meter with 0 to 10 V.D.C. output
To an FX-07 A.I..I want to trend the voltage levels , every fifteen minutes. I know the FX-07 can scan the A.I. at that rate.Besides more than that is unneeded.
I have an application that will scan a voltage level ,the voltage meter will output 0 to 10 V.D.C and trend it ,

The results will be saved at the FX-60
Unfortunately, at this point, I do not know what specific type and model ,voltage monitor, the design engineer is going to specify.Today I was told that If the voltage level dips or,
Spikes,Lets say by 15%,The engineer wants an alarm to trigger, and the voltage level to be saved. From a programming point of view ,I have no problem performing this,on the FX-07.
My problem is this voltage fluctuation may only last a second, maybee at most two seconds.
If I am scanning the levels only every 15 minutes, how can I have an FX-07 scan and react (program overhead) within a second or two?
will I require additional hardware?(och)

Many makes of voltage monitor include a relay output that makes when the voltage is outside of predetermined values. For example ICM makes a device that is used to monitor 3 phase power and shut down a motor or compressor when the voltage is out of range or a phase is lost. Its less than $200 and has a small LCD screen. You could connect its alarm contacts to a binary input and then log the voltage at that time.
