It is what I have worked hard on any ways and although they are pieces of paper they are what I consider important to me because I know what it has taken for me to attain them and some of the sacrifices I have had to get them and also the fact that I do have a wall to hang them on even though it is not a very big wall, I am still very proud.

Good going Swat, you should be proud. Looks nice too. If I remember right, this site had something to do with you finding your current position too, didn't it? Or was that HVAC Agent (http://www.hvacagent.com/)?

You are correct sir and I know I will become a site supporter very soon I promise ;).

I was a member of HVAC agent prior to finding this job and prior to them becoming a supporter but I did find my job through HVAC agent and that happened to be after they became a supporter. I have made several references to how grateful to them I am and I know I have touted the greatness of this site to well over several hundred people ranging from trades men, owners, customers, retail sales, green hands, and students.

I also try to help return the favor and share my good fortune about the company I work for and give others the chance as well. I have hired one of the students that I had in last semesters class and he is doing well for himself as well.

I have about 10 or so more documents that I could hang up there but would not have room for service bulletins as well as my wall boards.

Good job. It shows that you are a true professional and are commited to the trade. It also shows that you take pride in giving the customers a quality product they can count on. We need more people like you in the trade.

Far left you can only see part of is NATE. Next to that is an Eastfield college Tech level III, Next to that is Eastfield college award for winning some schollarships and hard work through education, Little blue one in front of it is ICE commercial refrigeration, Tran centrevac chiller systems next to it with another ICE in Light commercial HVAC, white one that you can only see 1/4 of is for an honor society amongst community colleges that only 5% of the students who go through community college are invited to be apart of, bottom left is my AAS from Eastfield in commercial refrigeration, center was some certificate from Trane that happened to fill in the space between my other degree from Eastfield which is in Residential HVAC, and last is the residential ICE exam.

The ICE exams are simple competency exams for students or those who have finished hvac school. The 2 I am proud of are the degrees. I could havfe stopped at any time because I was only taking basic courses in spanish psychology and math and I was merely going for the paper after that. Getting the piece of paper though opened a lot of doors that weren't opened before like the position I have now as an instructor at Eastfield and a service manager at the company I work for.

Thank you kindly for the compliments. I do appreciate them very much.

Pieces of paper...each representing determination, drive, ambition, self-esteem, pride, we can go on and on. What it really represents is someone who enjoys what they do and care enough to do it right. All of these certificates mean more than face value, they contain sweat, stress, sacrifice, and eventually we hope satisfaction in knowing we chose a field where we can make a difference. We're not all heroes....but we can still be damn proud of what we do.

Nice looking wall Swat, shows that you really take pride in your work. I am an apprentice steamfitter, in Washington, DC, and much like you I am always looking for educational oppertunities. I really enjoy what I do, and want to keep learning everything I can about it.

Great Job, Keep it up. I have a B.S. in Animal Science w/ Business emphasis, from 10 yrs ago. This opened doors and gave me direction. I am now starting on my 2nd year of HVAC school (4.0 GPA), working part time and have a passion for what I do. Not to mention I am an "on call" firefighter. I love to hunt, fish and trap, although I dont get to do it as much as I would like. I am a Father of two and Husband, to very patient Wife!
