Hello

I was just told that for us to upgrade our MSEA database from version 2.2 to version 5.0 - that they need to send the database to "India"

Humm - doesn't the tool NAE-NIE Update Tool do this? Or is it a issue from going from 2.2 to version 5.0

Anyone have ideas!

You just have to update to major revisions one at a time to be safe is all(2 to 3 to 4 to 5)No need to send off to India...

If they don't have a copy of Rev 2 loaded they are not wanting to the hassle of reloading everything to go back that far IMHO.

If you have rev 2.2 then chances are the NAEs are NAExx-0
If you have a -0 on some NAEs the latest and only upgrade
will be 4.06---You CANNOT upgrade to 5.0

All you have to do is have SCT and backup the NAE.
Then upgrade the database from 2.2 to 4.06
Then use NAE-NIE Update Tool with the 4.06 firmware file
to upgrade the NAE then reload the database.

NOT THAT HARD!!!!

Maybe they want to send to India so they can get that
extra shipping charge...lol!!!
