Currently looking for a new system and recently got a quote from a good local contractor.

I was quoted the following systems:

1. Infinity (Also a nice rebate going on these models)

HP: 25HNA939A32
Indoor: FE4AN(B,F)003+UI

Rated at : 17.2 SEER, 8.8 HSPF and 12.6 EER

2. Comfort Series

HP: 25HCB536
Indoor: FX4CN(B,F)042

Rated at: 15 SEER, 8.5 HSPF and 12.7 EER.

Lets say [2] cost X and 1 is [1.45X]

The house is in Central Florida. Are these good options? Is there anything in between price-wise that I can ask contractor about?

Thank you.

p.s.

Also have other estimates coming in, but don't have them yet. current system is dead so trying to change out as fast as possible.

Also wanted to mention that I will not be getting my tax credit since this isn't my principal residence :(

25HCA636, is a two stage compressor,with a "FV" air handler,and a Thermidistat for dehumidification.

25HPA636, same as above, with Infinity air handler and control.

I'd definately goe with two stage compressor!

Ask about the Ask about the 25HPA6. You can still get the INF. It should be mid priced to the 2 options you have listed there. I would assume Humidity is a problem there so i would go with the INF control and a larger indoor coil.

Thank you, I will ask the contractor regarding these.

Looks like these are good in-between options.

I noticed the EER is slightly higher with the Comfort series.... Might mean it's more efficient overall.
