anybody have any information on recomendations for ice plant holding tanks as far as location and poisition and covering them.

I have two that are on the south side side of a building in west texas.

so my theory is that these tanks being in the sun are like a cooler full of beer, of course if you move the cooler of beer in the shade the ice will last longer right....so acourding to bouuncer, and thermacote.....i can just paint the cooler and my beer will stay colder longer?....
