I have a customer with a bad Sage that is IP. I found an older IPX Sage for sale and was wondering if I could just use the IP build disks in it or are there any hardware differences? Thanks in advance.

If it has the 486 processor board in it, you're good to go with installing IP. Check on the CPU and look on the green board or CMOS chip to tell whether or not it's a 486. If it's not a 486, don't upgrade it to IP...I know from personal experience.
