We have 6 Intellipaks on our roof (60 and 75 tons), EMS is Tracer Summit. We started getting comm failures and restores constantly for all the units hundreds of times per hour. Found out that the failures and restores only occur when Unit 2 is scheduled on Occupied. Other units run extended hours. Daisy chain connections and shielding wire good. Anyone expience this? I'd appreciate the help... I will try running Unit 2 all by itself to see what happens...

I ran Unit 2 by itself and did not get any comm failures or restores.

You unhooked the comm link and ran it stand alone? What do you mean by "itself"

Ran Unit 2 with the comm wires still hooked up (only one on Occupied).

You could swap the comm cards between units. Are these Comm4 or LCI?
If the problem stays at the unit then you know its a board in that unit. If the problem follows the comm card to the new unit then you know its a comm board failing. You can do this with comm4 or LON, its just the lon would take rebinding and little more time to do.

I am curious, have you upgraded your version of Tracer Summit or applied any service packs recently? Restored Tracer after a computer crash or anything along those lines?

Units runs on Comm 4- but the comm boards are labeled as Comm 3. The comm failures originally started with unit 6 so that is when I swaped comm boards between 4 and 6- failures started happening for all units. This morning I put all Comm Boards where they originally were and we are still getting comm failures for all units. For the question about the upgrade: it has been a year since we upgraded to Version 17 Service Pack 7 and images updated for all BCU's about 6 months ago.
