Goodman GSX13

Hi Everyone,

I just ordered requested the Goodman GSX13 be installed for me. I have been reading these units are a bit on the loud side but just wondering if the sound blanket makes a difference? Also is this comparable in sound to the lennox 13acx without a blanket?

Here are the specs from each manufaturer they seem the same

Lennox 13ACX (76Db)
Goodmand GSX13 (74Db)

The Goodman unit is rated as quieter than the Lennox. 74 dBA wouldn't be loud at all to me, but sound is perceived differently by everyone.

I am told that a sound blanket on a scroll compressor will lower the sound 1 db.

I walked by one last Friday. Had to double check to make sure it was a Goodman. Quiet.
