I am trying to run INET4 on XP. I have all the applications set to compatibility windows 95. The driver appears to be running as I can go to DOS, run it and it says it is running. When I try to run INET4, I get a pop up saying "INET4 not running in enhanced mode". OK this and nothing happens.
Maybe it can't be done but do any of you have any input?
Thanks

I have done it using a virtual machine running win 95 on a win xp machine.
I have never found any other way of doing it successfully.

Thanks Dazza
I downloaded Microsoft's virtual PC but alas it does not have 95. It just goes back to 98. I'll keep on fiddling with it for awhile.
Thanks again

I/NET 4.xx or I/NET MAX was designed for Window 3.1 and Windows 95 only. Having said that, I have been able to use it on at least Windows 98 and maybe XP.
This was the first version of I/NET for Windows and I believe it was also the Y2K software.
I cannot recall all the steps, however I believe you will have to edit the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files in order to set the driver.
The folder is probably c:\inet4 and the driver is called inetdrv. The path of the driver maybe wrong.
Let me think about this.

Thanks Dazza
I have had the software for years and just never used it. I got it loaded on an older computer running win98 with no trouble yesterday. I have used the DOS version for so many years and being so familiar with it, I will continue using it on XP. I only need it for 7716's and UCI's. I am still amazed at how "rock solid" this equipment is.
