Little old lady with a busted ignitor on her Carrier. Wouldn't ya know, I didn't have one. Had to drive through 3 miles of Chicago rush-hour traffic to get one from another tech. Just charged her the minimum service call and for the part. No extra travel time or anything. We're Carrier dealers. I should've had this on my truck.

Oh well, all's well that ends well :)

Great job otto! That's the kind of service that gives the industry a good name.

had one last week, 85 out the warmest day so far of the year, we where swamped with no ac calls, some delayed ign, from a spark pilot that only light one side of the pilot. of cource they left it off when done. but the area i live now, it could snow in may, so i can't say i blame them for calling

It is funny the the little old lady wanted heat on such a warm day, but maybe she has poor circulation. I would have done the same thing if I were in the business.
I live in Indiana adn drive to Chicago for my Stationary Engineer job and there are days I hate the traffic.

it was 87* with a 74* dew point, hotter than haties. I got a call from our area's low income weatherization program, the damper on a Whisperheat won't open  . I am going to fix it Monday a.m.

They weatherization guy must have been inspecting 'cause I'm sure the lady wouldn't have turned it on because she was cold.
