Sales position?/

I work for a company that mainly all we do is Commericial work!. I got hurt pretty bad on the job 1 year ago, doctor finally released me with restrictions, so I really cant do the rooftop work anymore. I told this to my boss, and he wants me to be the salesman for the company, and I just dont know how this is all gonna worK! I was just wonderin if anyone out there can give me a little insight of what to expect. Thanks in advance

Be a salesman, you are just starting early if you like the trade, you can't roof-hop forever. It's a different mindset, you can't wait for the phone to ring, you have to go out and make things happen
