Lonspec and Vista

Did Honeywell ever come out with a solution to install and run Lonspec on Vista ? My main lap top crashed that had Win 2000 on it and all I have now is one with Vista .

Just tried to load Lonspec 5.1 on my home PC(Home PC is Vista). No luck man. It fails and says XP or 2000 only.

I tried also . When Vista came out Honeywell said they were already working on a patch for the problem . Thats been 3 years ago and I thought maybe someone here may have the solution . I emailed Honeywell if they have one Ill post it here .

I was looking around the net and came across Windows Virtual PC . Anyone using it ? http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx

I wonder if it will work for Lonspec ? Its Windows 7 with a XP mode .

Lonspec won't even let me start to install it so I am just wondering if this fix works so you can install it. I hate to give uncle Bill $90 if I don't have to.

LonSpec v5.1.5 does support MS Windows Vista and is available for download on the Honeywell Buildings Forum website.
