South Carolina Mechanical Contractor here, purchased Totaline compressor instead of Carlyle, charged core charge at time of purchase. This was December 17, 2009. Returned core December 23rd. Current date 03/26/2010 and still have not received core charge. Just curious if anybody else is having the same issue with this particular warranty department?

Have you asked them about it?

Got a 06D warranty compressor for a 5 month old unit back in Nov 09, from Carrier Mid-Alantic (now Carrier Enterprises) returned the old unit the same day. Received the warranty credit about two weeks ago. Plus there is NO labor allowance for warranty issues on commercial units, they did say if a unit is DOA they might allow some labor.

Most of the Totaline stores around the country have been sold to local distributors. Many are starting to charge fees for processing warrany claims. If the store sold you a part they are responsable for the warranty. If it is taking them a long time to credit your core charge complain to the store where you purchased the part. If you are having other issues call your equipment sales rep. Atleast they will know where to send you or can find out where you can get help.

Thanks guys....yes persistant phone calls to the distributor after the usual 30 days had passed. Like I said...just curious if I was the only one to wait an unusual amount of time to receive funds. Chances are I will install the same rebuilt "06" before I get paid.....
