Looks like a re-badged Honeywell Prestige. I wonder if it is a new Prestige IAQ therm.

wait till you see the price tag on it, and it will only work with lennox hvac stuff

Ive played with it last week at the dealer meeting. It is not a rebadged Prestige Stat. It will only work with the iComfort systems by Lennox. I do like it, you can program and setup all the settings (CFM, etc..) for the Furnace or Air-handler right at the iComfort Stat.

I didnt think the stats were made by Honeywell because the control boards in the communicating furnaces are made by Emerson.

Does it support an zoning interface?

If I understand it correctly, the Carrier communicating thermostat allows slave room units to be daisy chained to the communicating thermostat which in turn uses 4 wires to the zoning control unit. If the Lennox did that it would greatly simplify wiring for zoning for us.

Icomfort is not made for Zoning and will not work with a zone kit.

For us? Are you an HVAC tech by trade or not?

Honeywell does not make this control for Lennox.

Anyone out there have the owners manual/installation manual on the Icomfort?

Not harassing, I'm trying to get to the bottom of your motives. Seems you disappeared on the other thread that asked you just that question.

Yes, Lennox NEEDS to do that! I hate wiring up the harmony zones with humiditrol, EDA's and ERV's... oh, and add in the April Aire fresh air controls and damper while you're at it! lol... in a 130 degree attic. Yeah right! Such a waste of time when I need to be out doing service calls and fixing air conditioners!

Well, I know that's not a Honeywell stat. Although HW does privately label stats for mfg.'s I also know they do NOT make proprietary stats for mfg.'s.

If I were to guess I'd say it's either an Emerson made-to-order or an April Aire.

Actually it is not either of those. I is built offshore. The package says "Made in Japan". Aprilaire and WR do not manufacture in Japan, they are both China. Honeywell is made in North America.

I would not be that sure.

I have not seen it yet, but I do know that Honeywell did/does make other Lennox thermostats.

Pretty sure they stopped with the ComfortSense 5000, better known as the Honeywell IAQ. Lennox paid for testing and engineering then Honeywell marketed it on their own. Dumb for Lennox but great for Honeywell. The ComfortSense 7000 and Icomfort were developed by Lennox and made by someone else with Lennox owning all sales and production rights to my knowlege.

I got the icomfort touch. We have a heat pump. One of the things it does NOT do is let you know when your back-up heat is coming on. I checked with Lennox and they didn't seem to think the consumer needs to know that information. I explained that other thermostats I was familiar with allowed you to view and adjust your aux. heat levels in order to conserve energy. Does anybody know any way to check aux. heat with this icomfort thermostat?

I have the ComfortSense 7000. It had Honeywell name on back side.

I too have the iComfort Touch with dual fuel and it's absolutely the weakest link in the system.

It has nothing that tells you whether the heat pump or furnace is running, or what stage either is running in.

There is a diagnostics tab on the installer menu that will tell you heating rate, blower cfm & rpm, etc but it would be nice to have at least the heating rate on the main screen.

Worse yet, on dual fuel there is no provision to lock out the heat pump by a timed schedule for those of us that bought dual fuel to exploit on-peak/off-peak electric rates.

Other than these shortcomings it's a great system. Quiet, efficient and unbelievable comfort level.

Hopefully Lennox will get the message and have an updated version of firmware that will display,

1. System in operation (AC, HP, Furnace, or Backup Heat)
2. What Stage/Rate of Heating/Cooling
3. Blower CFM & Static Pressure
4. Ability to lock out the Heat Pump and default to Gas on Dual Fuel by a timed schedule.
5. Exploit the built in WiFi receiver on the thermostat board for internet control.

Come on Lennox, are you listening?

Just checked the back of mine and the wall mount. Only says made in Mexico. That's kinda strange.

what stat is able to do this?

what stat is able to do this?

A regular programmable stat allows you to do a setback, a dual fuel should allow you to choose which fuel you want to use during a program.

Why isn't there a stat able to do this, it's a simple programming/firmware change. With Lennox promoting it's iComfort as the end all/be all of thermostats and what they price it at this should be a feature.

Almost every electric utility offers on-peak/off-peak service. The difference between on and off peak from my utility is >$.10 per kw. .143 On, .034 Off.
If these manufacturers are serious about making "energy star" rated equipment this should be one of their features.

Does anyone have the icomfort Tech install manual they could shoot over to me? I can't access my Dave site for some reason

Thanks
