I have alot of experience with care but none with the lon side of care. Maybe someone could help me out here. When in onnet mode for the lon side and the picture of the controller is green I would assume this means that it is communicating and red is not communicating, what is white for. Next, to down load a xl50 that only communicates on the lon bus does it download just after translating or are there any extra steps like with e-vision. How do I pull up xl10s in onnet mode to view inputs and outputs and see alarms? I can see that they are a color Communicating, but how do I see everything else, like to monitor? Also to replace a xl10 do I just right click it and select replace device and change the node number and commission or is there a special step that I need to do. Also what is the domain, and if there was an xl50 that was pulled up with another lon software would this change the domain and if it did would a download put the domain back to where it needs to be. Thanks in advance mike

Well I rarely use Care anymore but I will take a stab at some of your questions. If I remember correctly when you are onnet and a controller is completely green it meens it has been commissioned on the lon side and its state is online. If it is half green it needs to be comissioned but its state is online. If it is red then it means it cannot communicate or its state is offline. You should see solid white when you are not onnet and the controller has been commissioned.
To download the XL50 just translate and then do a download through XL Online. Then commission through onnet if necessary.
To look at the XL10's you should have an option when you right click on them that says something like plug in online. Then it should open a selection window where you can select monitor.
Yes the replace function is to replace a controller, but if you are using an LNS database in conjuction with SymmetrE you would need to "sandbox" the controller and do an LNS sync to do it in Care. If you have never done this then you need to get someone who knows how to show you as it is not a very intuitive process. If you are working with an LNS database and you need to replace an XL10 then you would want to do it through the plugin on the server or a program called LNEX.
The domain should not have changed unless the device was commissioned with another domain. When you commission in Care it sets the domain, subnet and node number for the controller.
Hope this helps.
