Thinking about putting a Goodman Air Handler in on a Trane unit to save some money. Has anyone worked with Goodman products? Any comments on there quality?

Thanks,
Rob

If you do a search on the subject in this forum you will see this can of worms has been opened many times. If installed properly I would reccomend goodman equipment. Proper installation is key

Matched is always the way to go, it's the only way that you have a verified and tested efficiency.

In my area, Goodman is not much cheaper, and rightly so.

I do NOT recommend mix-&-matching brands no matter how much money you'll save. Goodman isn't designed to operate with a Trane & vice-versa.

Thanks, I think I'll go with a Trane.

Is this on a heat pump or just AC, and how old is the Trane unit? Any idea how efficient the Trane is rated?
