Anybody else having trouble with these things. I've had several lose it's temp. accuracy in about 9 months. The parts house guy told me i must be doing something wrong. I then asked him if it's 55° in his store. while turning the dial on the stat that's clicking (contacts closing) at 55°. It should have been clicking at 75°F or so. :D When he finally comprehended what i was doing he gave me warranty credit.
I got a digital A-419 instead.

where are you mounting them , the thermostats must be mounted on a level surface, if they are not on a flat level surface they will lose their calibration.

All the ones i've had trouble with were mounted vertically. Do we need to mount them upside down? :) http://members.cox.net/kbghdg/roflmao1.gif

It appears so. I ain't buying them anymore. Unless, it's the air-bulb style. I wonder if they're slowly leaking the charge out of the capilary causing them first to go out of calibration. Then later on they would fail totally? If allowed to remain operational.
