Job Description:
Manage the Residential HVAC customer relationship, and represent the Company in accordance with its policies in the assigned territory. The Sales Professional will be held accountable for, and compensated on the maintenance of our existing customer base and the development of targeted growth.

Duties:
• Identify, pre-qualify and call on non-contract customers and current contract customers to increase awareness of Company service offerings
• Follow-up on sales leads and lists, both self-generated and via other sources
• Sells, with minimal supervision.
• Manages multiple, ongoing, opportunities particularly focusing on selling services and retrofits.
• Sells, renews and expands renewable service agreements, to both new and existing customer.
• Builds partnering relationships with the owner or owner representatives responsible for the decision-making process to drive the sale of service offerings.
• Demonstrates technical expertise and maintains a high level of credibility.
• Recommends solutions and links customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage.
• Positively and credibly influences service strategies with owners.
• Effectively writes, and presents proposals.
• Addresses resistance and closes the sale.

Qualifications:
• 5 years HVAC industry related sales experience
• Successful completion of a HVAC trade/vocation program
• Ideal candidate is a highly motivated “go-getter”
• Prior success in the industry with awareness of industry and technical material
• Strong relationship building skills, customer focused and disciplined
• Strong needs-based sales skills and a passion for excellence
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of computer applications, MS or related
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of residential sector of the market

Any of the following are considered preferred:
• BPI or NCI Certified
• Manufacturer’s Training
• NATE Certified
• Sales Training

I just finished this one. They are willing to do training-actually they encourage it. They want to stay ahead of the game. They are also focused on doing more "green" work. They are willing to look at techs that want to advance into a sales role. Biggest factor-must be knowledgeable on the technical side.
