the thing always seems to act low on refrigerant.
it's a 407a box, and the condenser fan was bad for a while... I fixed that and it cooled fine for about a week, then started running warm.
the con coil is pristine, and the evap is as well. evap fan running fine.
do you all think the compressor is shot? or the cap tube partially plugged? it doesn't pump itself down, it just starts not cooling, and the pressures read low, so I tried charging it. *(it's a blend, I know... I charged with liquid, but pumping it down and weighing in a charge is a pain...) I pulled a vacuum, and pressurized it with 90psi nitrogen and left it for a week. today, it's still sitting on 90... no leak obviously. whatdayatink?
pump it down again, and weigh in 11oz 407?

Is 407, a r-22 replacement?

Superheat/sub cooling would have told you what you have wrong and how is weighing in the charge a pain?

Moved to refrigeration.

Does it ever not act up after you recharged ? TXV or Cap Tube ?
Almost sounds like moisture except for the not pumping down part.
