It is one year since the blockbuster rally started. The sad part is,the adverage joe missed it.Why did it happen. Fear that the Unemployed will never work again,Fear of our goverment and leadership.Fear that housing prices will not rise.Fear that the consumer will never spend again. In life it is always fear that keeps us down.

That rally has only returned a small percentage of what people lost in the crash. I'm still down on one mutual fund. Be wise and stay out of the market. It is the epitome of income redistribution

the math does not work that way. If you lose fifty percent , you need a return over 100 percent to make money

the math does not work that way. If you lose fifty percent , you need a return over 100 percent to make moneyIt's not only the math its the stocks you buy, when you buy then ,how much you pay for them,How you trade and do the homework, how smart you are,and again how much bal*s you have.

Thats what a iot of people do not understand It is nice to pick a stock that goes up.but it is more important not to buy the one's that go down. The ones that go down kill you. That being said the market at 14000 is nice but just a number. The number that counts is at the bottem of the statement.

Hang on tight because it is fixin to start again. There is a huge wave of commercial forclosures and vr mortgages about to reek havoc on the market. All these companies are reporting profits etc except for one thing, there is no increase in sales nor sales tax revenues meaning all the up side info is not really what it seems.

Go to www.streettalklive.com (http://www.streettalklive.com) these guys are very very smart about whats going on.

They're on my facebook page also.

Love those articles that claim "the worst of the recession is over"...

after sixteen months of hearing that, one might begin to wonder.

I believe the worst was over right after Bush, Reid and Pelosi bailed out the Financial Industry. Once the shock of Lehman's total bankruptcy was digested, there was nowhere to go but up

Post your proof thats it's getting worse if you think so please.

What kind of proof are you looking for?

With almost 10% on the unemployed rolls and another 5% who have been unemployed for over a year and have given up, that is not exactly getting better. And eventually, the stock market will drop also.

When I post stuff I back it up with links.I have seen a lot of people post things, only later to eat their words. The claim of 15% unemployed, thats the highest I have seen anywere. When making a statement where it can backed up a link, why would a person not do so.It would give more credit to the post, and prove his point. There is just a ton of BS here. There is a link above , it is the home page of a broker, its BS it tells us zero

Employment Situation

March 05, 2010
Nonfarm payroll employment was little changed (-36,000) in February, and the unemployment rate held at 9.7 percent. Employment fell in construction and information, while temporary help services added jobs. Unusually severe winter weather in parts of the country may have affected payroll employment in February; however, it is not possible to quantify precisely the net impact of the winter storms. The 9.7 is based on those drawing unemployment insurance.

What percentage would YOU apply to those who have given up after UI has out? 0%? 1%? 3%? 5%? More?

I dunno, maybe something about being laid off as a journey pipefitter in a state in the Midwest U.S., and getting the opportunity to move 1000 miles to get a job. Call it anecdotal if you wish :)

I'm just saying it's as though we're trying to wish it back to normal.
In my case, that and 75 cents would get a paper, so I moved.
Whaddya gonna do?

From New Central America (code for Iowa) to the City that Bleeds, er, ..that reads (Baltimore)
