On this trane voyager gas pack, I think its a 5 ton really cant remember. Any way the heat is set at 72, but it gets up to 80 in the room and the t-stat never shuts unit off. You can even turn the t-stat to off and it wont shut off. Go up to the unit and its not callin for heat, its not calling for anything.. but it wont shut off, It just sits there and heats full blast. Turn the disconnect off then back on and it never comes back on. Till it finally cools off and heat has to kick on again. Im thinkin there isa problem in one of the boards but dont really have any experience checking them. It has the main control board then there is a smaller board for the heat to the left of the main board.. Briefly looked at it and got called off on something else.. jus kinda made me start thinkin about it because im goin to have to go back and fix it later

is it zone system controlled or conversion board for use with conventiona style t-stats?

could be as simple as stcking gas valve. tap gas valve with klines or something sim. keep it simple stupid

I'm thinking this or a bad relay on the board that's stuck shut.
Check your wiring diagram.

I always train my tech to do the following steps for troubleshooting:
1) Pull out is your pen to write the model and serial of the unit.
2) Visual inspections: ---Check unit for cleanliness -- blower, coils, belts,etc..
3) Take a break :bump:
4) As you can see we have not put any tool on the unit yet.

anybody else worried about this?
I really think you should have a senior tech help you out on this one.

Senior tech sounds like a wise choice. Then to get the most out of the senior tech you must watch and listen and learn from him.
Probably is relay stuck on circuit board. Check schematic to trouble shoot and verify which board needs changed.
If you don't know how it is supposed to work, it will be difficult to fix it properly.

I always kick myself for trouble shooting on the way to the job. Now I am helping someone else learn bad habits.
Start at the beginning with your trouble shooting. A lot of times when you pre-guess a problem it causes you to miss something easy.
Always keep learning.

trouble shooting on the way to the job.
I think everyone does this.

I have the same units with a similiar problem. The combustion fans never turn off.
