My in-laws were quoted a new central air for their house and they want to be sure it will qualify for the $1500 tax credit.
The HVAC Contractor quoted a Rheem
RAPM-036JAZ + RHLLHM3617AA
Since they live in Long Island and they aren't there all summer, they are looking for the minimum central air unit that qualifies. Would this be the one?
Thanks.

It needs to be a 16.00 SEER to qualify.

I am actually confused by the quote...
I went to the Rheem website and looked up their List of Qualified Products for the Rebate:
The RAPM-036JAZ is only listed with the RCFN-H*3624 and the RAPM-030JAZ is only listed with the RHLL-HM3617. Both of these combos are listed as 16 seer.
Does the RAPM-036JAZ + RHLLHM3617AA even match?

Yes, it would require the RHPN air handler to qualify. That would include the RCFN-H*3624 coil mentioned. The RAPM can be used on the RHLL just not getting the SEER needed for the tax credit. Is this going in their main house?

Yes, this is going to be for their main house.
