From what you've seen what are among the best front ends? Got an acquaintance that wants all the bells and whistles, but one key part is they want stellar 3-D animated graphics capabilities. They have staff that can build incredible graphics and they want to incorporate that. I know some of the stuff I've seen, but I would like to see what others are doing.

crabmaster,

Working on the BACnet side the following are some of the nicer front ends are Delta ORCAview/ORCAweb and Automated Logic WebCTRL. Both have stunning 3-day animated graphics and as you say all the bells and whistles. Alerton isn't too far behind. I'll get in touch and send you some samples/info.

If your looking at LON, no idea as I have only dealt with t.a.c. Vista. The Tridium package is excellent as well to use with almost any controller and some of the most stunning graphics can be created. Check out http://www.basgraphics.com/, I worked with Alper on a couple of projects and his work is top notch.

Give me a call when you get a chance. I still owe you that disc.

I had a glimpse of Wonderware InTouch years ago and it's impressive. But I don't have hands-on experience on that.

Nowadays, exciting frontend experiences are mostly from Flash/Flex or Silverlight based application. Lately, I found http://www.prophetsuite.com. It's very cool and I like how it's navigating a building in the demo video. I don't know if this package is engineering friendly but definitely want to give it a try when I have time.

TAC Vista can do quite a bit and is very suitable, especially since I know it.

Wow - the Prophet video for just a graphical front end! I wish I could get a copy of that VAV in the video - http://www.prophetsuite.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=77

I just want to make sure I can present them with numerous options - I may or may not be involved with the implementation. LON, BACNET, whatever really doesn't matter. Personally I like LON, but whomever builds the better front end will win the battle, of course as long as they have good tech support.

I can hook you up with something very similar. HW or electric reheat.
