I have a job with 2 FLX700 boilers. Cannot seem to find any good manuals on them. Specifically we are enabling boilers only and then they are to modulate on their own to maintain setpoint. I can get them to enable but depending on where we connect up they either stay in low fire or high fire. Wiring diagram is not the best since it shows the field connections but no documentation to tell you what they do. Since the contract and spec calls for us to only enable them I hope that we can make it work. If we need to modulate them then I know that is going to be a no cost change that we need to do.

I'm not familiar with the wiring for this boiler off the top of my head and don't have a manual for this one in my library but....Do you think you may be wiring your enable circuit to the firing rate circuit instead of the boiler enable circuit? (135 ohm potentiometer firing rate control instead of aquastat) Just a thought, maybe that will help.:grin2: All you should need to do is break the aquastat circuit, the boiler controls will do the rest.

The control circuit is specific to the burner on this boiler. Could you include the burner model number and the boiler serial number? Also what burner management system do you have?

We are using a Trane Mp580 programmable controller but not sure what the boiler is using. I know there is a controller on the front door with mode and several other buttons, a honeywell controller and one other that shows all the interlock lights and such inside the door. I have not seen this style boiler control before which is what I am having issues with. I know it is a profire -v with cb780 with door mounted display and mod bus and cb783. These are the only controls on the system no burner management system except for what is on the boiler or what we can do with our controller.

Dave,

Does this management relay look similar to yours?

That is it. The wiring diagrams really are not very specific and without a manual to tell you the sequence of operation it is difficult to figure out what we need.

Dave,

This should be what your lookimg for. The boiler enable goes in series terminal 6 operating limits.
