We have an L series and it is generating a code 88 which is a problem with the ecto chip. The result of this code is that all ecto settings will revert back to the factory settings which is exactly what has happened and it is very very bad for us.
Has anyone ever had this code and found out exactly what is causing it.
The unit is functioning normally but has started to generate this code and some other codes....but unfortunately the two guys who have been there have not been writing them down..
they both did remember the 88 code and they have also reported codes related to communication... I guess between unit components because there are no controls on this unit....no L network...nothing... and there have also been enthalpy related codes but Im thinking that this might be due to their being an add on accessory economizer board mounted to the main board....but the economizer harness has been disconnected due to the job this unit is doing....
Main board probably sees the add on board and is expecting some information from it...
I guess...lol
Im going down in the am.... gonna have to do some jerry rigging to get around the ecto reverting back to factory settings.... but Im just wondering if we need to get a board on order or if something in the etco settings could be conflicting with something else and causing this error.
any help would be appreciated,
thanks
