Looking to replace my oil fired furnace w/oil fired boiler that is efficient, reliable, and reasonably priced. I am putting up an addition and cant run ductwork to parts of the new section (hence baseboard)but want to keep ductwork for ac (hence hydro-air) in the existing as well as most of the new addition.
Contractor #1 has suggested using a BIASI B10/5 108MBH w/L7248 control kit & Superstore 45 gal stainless steel indirect tank. Another contractor has suggested the Buderus G115 w/indirect water tank.
I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions on this topic.

Buderus-- you have the ability to use their logamatic control for outdoor sensor.

Is there an outdoor temp sensor that can be used w/the Biasi?

Biasi has a lifetime warranty...Buderus is 10yrs then it's prorated. I've installed both and like the Biasi with the Riello burner/Superstor combo myself. There's no real benefit using the logimatic control on a hydro system.

My only concern w/the Biasi is the availability of getting parts if something goes wrong...is this something I should be concerned about or is it a non issue??

Getting parts for either is a non issue. I know there's a supply house in Bridgewater that carries Biasi. I don't think that's too far from you...? Just found that simons in New Bedford also carries these.
