After signing a petition to be sent to PA's two senators telling them that I would prefer they not vote for the Employee Free Choice Act, better realized ad the Employee Forced by Cohersion Act, I received a wonderful email from Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr stating how wonderful the senator believes this newest attempt at Socializing our work force is.

So, I wrote back to Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr;

Senator, I realize what you think, or at least the way you are trying to sell this. Just so you know, with less then 8% of the private sector workforce being merit shop workers, we do not agree with you and we will vote how we think, not how our goverment officials think. Thank you for your time, Robin Boyd.

Guess what my next email is? OK, you don't have to guess, here is what immediately popped up on my email;

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com (http://yahoo.com).
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Giving up on 156.33.195.223.
Now ain't that just peachy? Another Democrat who is going to do what he wants no matter what his constituents want. And, he doesn't even care enough to allow voters to comment on what he is doing.

Arlen Specter didn't bother to respond at all.

In addition to your experience I just received and update news letter for The Evergreen Foundation here in WA state which watches over our local state gov't. Our governor is a mini-obama.

According to The Evergreen Foundation a concerned citizen wrote this to her state representative....."going to be watching your actions in the Session very carefully" - because she expected the legislature to "be fiscally responsible with our money, and to balance the budget within the resources currently available."

The representative responded:

"For some reason I read a threat in your e-mail, which I strongly condemn"

also, "You do not have to re-contact me, as I will be doing the right thing for all my constituents. If that means making sure children are fed, the disabled are cared for and the elderly safe, then I will be voting for a revenue package that will make this happen. I am sorry that I disagree with your philosophy of 'I have mine, let the rest fall by the wayside.'"

And there within these words of response to a concerned citizen is the dangerous philosophy that pervades government officials - the false assumptions that government is best equipped to hanlde the most vulnerable men, women and children around us...that legislators are properly spending our tax dollars to meet the highest priority needs, ..that here constituent's call for fiscal responsibility equaled letting the vulnerable "fall by the wayside."

And here is an interesting point of view by The Evergreen Foundation.

"Politicians are appropriating power to shape our lives after their own image. They are using ever-increasing amounts of our own money to force use to live, believe, and think at they see fit. The big-government politicians now running our coutnry and state into the ground have lived down to our lowest expectations."

Another statement: About 70% of our current state lawmakers have never held a significant private sector job as an adult.

This is not a good thing. This means that we are breeding professional politicians rather then having real life people to vote for.

Look who sitting in the White House chair. He couldn't recognize a P&L statement if he had to no less read one. Probably never kept his own check book and had to balance accounts or was ever in a position that he had to compare income to outgo.

Most of Capitol Hill is like that now. Nothing but college educated MBA's detached from real life. It never use to be that way. Some of the best leaders came from their own towns and ran small to medium sized businesses including farmers.

BTW, one of my family friends was a representative in Maryland. He was Italian from the 1st generation. His father was a house painter and that is how he worked his way through law school and eventually got elected. He knew the value of a dollar!

Wow prints; you have certainly got an uncanny grasp of the obvious in this matter.:troll2:

I'm sorry. I should not be so snide about this. How about; No Duh!?

What did you think I thought it meant?

Actually one of the reasons you could have been bounced back is because you might be on a spam list. Had some of my emails bounced from people just because of the combination of numbers and a word. Got straightened out when I sent from another email address.

Why would I be on a spam list on an email where the Senator's office emailed me first? Even if that were so, my thread title stands true.

The point is that our politicians don't give a crap what we think, only what they want to do. Only if enough Democrats who vote for this clown were to indicate they would not support him would he give a crap.

Not saying you are not right. Just that some of this internet stuff is not as great as it should be.
