Good afternoon
I service a small municipality that has 10 remote sites, each of these sites has several thermostats and most have a Johnson Fx07 controlling the boiler.
I am looking for recommendations on ways to get the comm bus (I can go BACNET mstp or N2) back to the main office. The sites are to small to support a jace / Fx20 at each site so I was hoping to use a translator like a Lantronix at the remote sites but I am wondering if ther is a way to go from bacnet mstp to Ip. Then can I get a driver for the Jace to read the Ip bacnet and not use a translator at the Jace?
Thanks in advance
Kevin

I would go with BACnet routers at each site, mstp to BACnet/IP. Then have your frontend or jace in the central location bring it all in.
I have not done it with a jace but I am fairly certain that it would/can do it. There are other front ends as well that can do this.

I agree. Most front ends will accept the BACnet IP data. As Amigo said, simply put a BACnet MS/TP to IP router at each site and you'll have it.

If you go accross networks make sure you get a router with BBMD support.

and be careful of NAT if you have more than 1 controller on the IP network. Just having 1 and that connected to MS/TP you should be OK
