Working on a Trane voyager 2 stage mechanical cooling and economizer, and one stage gas heat.Unit is operating normal but the induced draft motor will not shut off after the call for heat has ended.Think relay in board may be sticking but tried a board from another identical unit and still did the same thing.

Do a search on Trane voyager combustion motor going to ground. check s# for warranty.

check the control wire (not high voltage) to the combustion fan motor. if that control wire is not secure it could continue to let the comb. fan motor run. not sure thats the prob. just an idea. i had same problem on carrier weathermaker about 2 weeks ago. control wire was loose and spark ignition just kept sparking while heat was already running full cycle. someone rigged leg to always live side of relay.:D

how can i get service bulletins from Trane? If they do come to the shop i rarely see them...maybe one every other year

i had a trane 7.5 ton rtu with the same problem,after checking wiring.volts&
amps,found out these motors some times fail in the high speed mode,due to the way it is wired internaly,replaced the motor and every thing is fine now,
it did'nt show a short to ground,it just would not change speeds.

You won't see a short to ground in this case. The neutral is grounded inside the motor housing.

I know your better than that. (How dare you talk neutral on 208/230 or 460)

What happens is, you have 2 sets of windings. The one set short to the other set and since you have 208/230 or 460 at red and purple you make a complete circuit and the motor runs. But it's not actually high speed. It's somewhere in between high and low.

I was going by an explanation I had gotten that indicated the motor was being run on a single leg to ground (120v) and that it was the neutral that shorted to the case. Since I had not yet found one of these motors running without a call for heat, I didn't think anything more about it.

However, in the case of a 208v motor and similar, you are correct that there would be no neutral.
