I have an Johnson Controls NAE-35 and three Johnson DX-9100 controllers.
I want to integrate Two McQuay AC units with MicroTech 2 Processors into the existing Johnson N2 network..Is there a fieldserver device.?I know this may be wishful thinking on my part, but I would like McQuay points such as setpoint,.D.A. /R.A. temps ,compressor status etc. to be visible to the NAE through the Johnson N2 bus.
The McQuay unit has no graphics inerface.just basic text. The touch buttons are very simple, just a right/left arrow and plus/ minus buttons. The main board appears to have
An expansion plug on it.Can this accept an N2 card?
There are two boards in the unit. The units are controlled locally by the Microtech
I would like to have the DX-9100 control them, mostly fan ON/OFF

The N2 on board the McQuay chiller is of no use for remote accesss, its purely for reading slave io boards. JCI made the OEM controllers for McQuay, so it had an N2 on it.

Your best bet for integration is to get the McQuay BACNet TCP/IP from the mcquay rep, and link to your LAN on the NAE. Field server could be tricky, but we've done exactly as we describe here & its pretty easy.

The main control board will need a network card installed. It is cheaper to get the network card for a N30 and install it than getting it from Mcquay. You then have to configure the ip address and a few other things. Then it will be a bacnet IP device that you can read/Write to a lot of points from the NAE. The local Mcquay rep will have the software tools to make the configuring easy.
