Need to replace my heat pump but would like to keep existing
air handler -it works well and has a WarmFlo controller added to it.
So - have been searching for a evaporator coil to fit the AH

AHRI#3682788 shows a Aspen evaporator coil CA30C34 matched to a 2 ton 17SEER Affinity (and York VS air handler)

Think this combo would work ok? (moving 800CFM with existing AH)
I realize I won't have dual stage heat/cool operation, but am not
certain if the head pressure would likely be ok with this matchup

Any ideas?

AHRI#3682788 as you mentioned is a 3 ton , CA30c34 is sized at 2.5 ton , and you want a 17 SEER ? Time to call the expert !

If your looking for the tax credit. You won't get it with out using a York VS blower.

As far as I know. The YZH line has NO ratings with a non VS blower.

INTECHBILL -- AHRI 3682788 is listed as 24000BTU - how can it be a 3 ton?
Also, the outdoor model is YZH02411 - York model for a 2 ton

beenthere --I'm not looking for tax credit (am in Canada), but am trying to match the AH and coil(s) so they will work together to give reasonable SEER/HSPF with no head pressure problems.

Appreciate your comments and would like to know if this combination would
work in your opinion

It should heat and cool. As long as your moving the CFM it needs. Its rated with air flows as low as 750CFM.

You can probably get as much efficiency from an LX though. As you will with a YZH will with your current blower(You won't get the SEER or EER from that YZH as it does with a VS blower). At less cost upfront.

I wouldn't put in a 2 stage YZH if I wasn't planning to install a VS blower down the road somewhere.

Thanks - I'll take a look at the LX
