Replacing old system with a new one

I am fixing to replace my current system which was 15 years old--- amana 10 seer heat pump 3 ton, matching air handler unit, k15 heat strip with the following Lenox setup:

XP14-036 15 SEER R410A HEATPUMP
CBX32M-036 AIR HANDLER UNIT
ECB29-15CB HEAT STRIPS
X4147 TOUCH SCREEN PROGRAMABLE THERMOSTAT
---------line set

I was wanting to know if the above lennox setup would be a good or better match with what I am replacing?

That is the same setup i have in my house. It works great. I replaced a old luxaire heatpump

The only difference is that mine is a 2.5 ton with the CBX27 UH 030 which is pretty much the same thing ECM motor.

I did have to replace the stat though. Got home one night and didn't have any heat. I would kick on anything. Good thing I had one on the truck that would work until i could get a new on under warranty

Then call another Lennox dealer in your area. And get a quote on that same equipment.
And make sure they are going to do the install the same way.

You can't use the internet and determine what the price should be.

And the equipment, isn't the main cost.

The problem is when you live in a small town there is not alot of dealers!!! I was hoping a professional site like this one could help me make sure I was not be taken advantage of!!! sorry if I ever made somebody madd for help from a consumer like me to a contactor like you guys!!!

And if you really are an officer of the law, you would know some good hvac companies. I know a lot of great ones, we hang out at the same doughnut shops.

I had a service call today. When I arrived I saw he must be a police officer. When he answered the door I was suprised to see the very cop who gave me a seat belt violation a few months back. He didnt remember me. But i took good care of him. It felt good not to hold a grudge. Plus of course he said i was like 10mph over speed limit and he let me off with that. Ticket was like 130 bucks. I made sure his bill was comparable.

I had a service call today. When I arrived I saw he must be a police officer. When he answered the door I was suprised to see the very cop who gave me a seat belt violation a few months back. He didnt remember me. But i took good care of him. It felt good not to hold a grudge. Plus of course he said i was like 10mph over speed limit and he let me off with that. Ticket was like 130 bucks. I made sure his bill was comparable.

He was just doing his job and that is fine, they enforce laws that need to be there. What got me was that this guys thinks because he says he is a cop he is entitled to info of our trade. Threatening to be pulled over is just uncalled for and that is what gives good officers bad names, just like hacks and side jobbers give our trade a bad name.

IMO Working at a cops house can go either way. They are either like the guy I worked for or the OP on this one. If he is like the OP then he tries to intimidate. If hes like my guy today you see he just a normal guy and ok. Definately cant take the OP type though.
