As we all know.... They will sell Goodman to ANYONE. Even a MONKEY!
Seeing they used ROUND elbows, I can only assume it is un insulated.
On the other had. It could have looked worse!

Is there anything sealing the roof penetrations and flashing. I noticed screws holding the flashing to the curb.

they should have just turned it on it's side. then there wouldn't have needed the elbows, OR had to worry about damaging the roof with the cinderblocks :)

Well momma always told me if I cant say something nice, say nothing at all. So I will say this. At least they removed the old unit.

What a sad sad joke. Did you get the job to set that unit (or a new one if needed) correctly?

this just happened to be on a building that I was doing some work on. I talked to the store owner but he did not seem to care.

You have got to have some guts to even walk away from a job like that and say that you are done!!

Wait for a good wind storm and watch the unit fall off the bricks and snap the adjustable elbows. I'm sure he'll care then.

" We will revolutionize the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry with the highest quality equipment manufactured by the best producing work force in the business and sold at the lowest prices in the market" - Harold Goodman circa 1982
Yeah, you sure did harold. You have managed to bring down the bar five levels. Not only that, you have managed to make the public see all of us in this way, professionals, as well as apprentices coming straight out of trade schools who no more deserve that reputation than a respected professional does. I'm sure your family is really concerned though about what you have forced upon hundreds of hard working businesses across this great nation, us having to fight against your jake legs who only work for beer money and have no financial, management or any other skills it takes to run a profitable business.
What a bubba.

How about it!! I saw that palm tree in the vista. It must be in one of those States out west where they get an inch of rain once a decade.

The "engineer" who designed this install is ingenius!!! Probably studied for years under the Peking Acrobats to get the exact balancing points of the unit. Then he professionally engineers the unit for quick disconnect from the building in case of a hurricane. That way if the building collapses the unit might still be okay when you find it a few blocks away except for a few dents.
