I am commisioning a RTAA unit (100 ton) with the Trane Adaptive Controller to operate at 0 F, (50 % Prop. mix) I have inputed all recommended settings for temperature sensor cutouts on front panel. My question is does the Controller need to be put into Ice making mode as I saw no pressure cut out settings to set on the display of controller. If so can anyone tell me where to go on display to change Operating Mode to Ice Making mode. I am not familar with this controller as I am for the 300 ton RTAA. Thanks in advance for any help. I have the IOM but I cannot locate any where in it to change operating mode!!

No you dont need to put into ice mode .
Ice building is an external input usually from a BAS system to switch the unit into ice making . When the contact is closed the chilles runs fully loaded with a 120% current limit until the ice termination setpoint is reached .
Is this for an ice rink ???

Thanks for the info. No I'm cooling 10,000 gallons of 50/50 glycol for a batch feed process project.
