Think about this, Is there really any real difference between this tragedy and aborting an unborn baby?

Both are living, innocent human persons in need of protection until they are capable of caring for themselves.

When I drive through some of our Urban neighborhoods, I see tiny AA children wandering alone on the streets frequently. The minorities claim they love their children but do very little to care for and protect them. Many times they are left with an ex-con BF who abuses/murders them and the media shows the sobbing mother [term used loosely] and then talks about how much she loved her child.

That's because death is all around us. The birthrate has to be high to make up for people who do not live long enough to reproduce.

So far, though, the population is increasing so there must be a net gain.

The next plague/war/famine/disaster/nuclear accident will set us back some, though.

Our vet who was the most devoted of fathers was backing out of his driveway many years ago and his two year-old escaped from his Wife's arms and was run-over/killed.

This is a far cry from someone sleeping off a "zinger" while their child wanders all over the neighborhood.

Reminds me of a situation that happened around here not too long ago.

The parents of a 3 or 4 year old girl took her to the emergency room saying there's something wrong with her. There was. She was so under nourished that the doctors couldn't save her. That's right, she STARVED to death in her own home. The good news is the payments on her parents rented big screen TV were up to date.

this is true of all males . A lionor bear will actually kill cubs if they are not the father. Just to cause the female to sart estrus again
