Around here, most put the compressor section in the basement or away from the living area and run a lineset to the attic, that way the noise isn't right above the living area.

That looks like a Trane/AS air handler, but what is the brand of the HP section?

Also, did you install any electric heat in the AH?

What kind of coil is in the air handler? What SEER rating do you get out of it?

Sorry, I know I'm full of questions but I'm really interested in ground source technology and would like to know more about how these split systems work in comparison to their packaged counterparts.

Heat Package is BAYHTR1415BRK

Geo-Thermal is Commandaire GSSD04810C001C


17.25 E.E.R. COP 3.9

Installed upstairs then up 14ft to upper attic 25ft.in..from stairs...

1) 4.0 downstairs east
2) 4.0 downstairs west
3) 4.0 ton upstairs/Variable Drive
4) 2.0 ton weight room/spa/sauna seperate from house..

Large Home--Mansfield,Texas 10 acre, with pond in front.
